We have FIORI elements UI app and I need to put a validation when user hits 'GO' button on the Filter bar. I tried attachSearch method and am able to hit this method but the problem I am facing is,..how do I stop the process/search function when the validation fails ? I tried 'return false' on validation failure but it did not help.
Assuming you are using 'Smart table' & it's linked to your filterbar. You can use the event "beforeRebindTable" and apply your validation & return false if validation fails.
Does not work. I mean, beforeRebindTable is not getting triggered in my case. I do not think it is a smartable. When I look at the DoM I see the table as 'responsiveTable'. As I mentioned, the filter bar & the table on the ListView page are FIORI Elements derived. Please suggest if there is any other option.
