Hi,
Requirement: In BOXI 3.1 Web Intelligence, specific user should edit and refresh the query however should not be able to save the reports from specific folder.
This is possible in BOXIR2.
If I give only 'Edit Query' and 'EditObject' rights to user he is able to save the report. This should not happen.
Please advice.
Have you tried without the EditObject option?
Regards
Alan

Requirement: To set up an access level in such a way that the users are allowed to edit the query in the reports from a particular folder but are not allowed to save the document in the same folder in order to prevent them from overwriting the original report.
I found out that in BOXI 3.1 in order to allow the users to edit we have to grant them u2018edit objectu2019 right .But the problem in doing that is the users will then be also able to save the report with same name thus overwrite the original report. And now if I deny 'Edit objects' right then user cannot edit as well as cannot save the report. Which means original aim for security setup would not be accomplished.
In BOXIR2 SP5 if 'Edit objects' right is denied user can Edit the report but cannot Save (which is as per requirement) provided that he has all other rights on that folder; however in BOXI 3.1 if Edit objects right is denied user cannot edit as well as cannot save the report. And If Edit object right is granted the he can edit as well as save the report(Exactly opposit of BOXIR2)
Please note that I am talking about the rights(user security) on the folder.
Anyone aware of this behavior?
Thanks.
