Use of Project Item in 4GT Scope Id.

Hi,

In 4GT SCOPE ID (SOLUTION ORDER MANAGEMENT). what is the use of the project item in Manage Solution Order App? Is there a real time business scenario where we can use both service item and project item. Can you give me an example of the same?

Secondly, Is it possible to link an EPPM project to solution order or can we run a production cycle in professional service project

Hi,

In a Solution order, you can create a professional services project not EPPM project at this point. The reason to use projects in solution order could be that you have to provide some service to the customer which requires a project for planning and tracking. One use case for the project and service can be where lets say you are building some software for the customer which is tracked via the project and then you also need to have it installed and configured at the customer location.
