Hi Experts,
Is it possible to use Master Data consolidation to perform the de-duplication of records during the create process without having the MDG Central Governance framework implemented.
I understand the activation of the MDG foundation & application business functions would be need to activated along with MDC BFs. Except that, is it required to perform any other activities from MDG central governance PoV to use MDC consolidation from source system process.
Kindly suggest.
Thanks,
Nalla B.
Yes, this is possible. Nearly all configurations are independent on the MDG Central Governance framework.
But keep in mind, that you require an MDG license for the affected business object (product, customer, ...)

Hi michael.theis ,
Thanks a lot for the prompt response. Just summarizing the approach here. Please suggest if you feel anything is missed.
1. Activate the BFs related to MDG Foundation & Applications
2. Activate the BFs related to MDC
3. Activate the BFs related to MDG data domains like (BP, products)
4. Configure the process templates in the MDC framework for respective data objects & business activity.
Thanks,
Nalla B.
For configuration of consolidation and mass processing, see the SAP Help Portal documentation for classic mode in MDG. For information about cloud-ready mode in MDG (available as of SAP S/4HANA 2023), see the relevant information about consolidation in the section about configuration of cloud-ready mode.
