Upload General Journal Entries - incomplete header entry

Hi everybody,

we are currently trying to upload a sample of journal entries for the client, we added some custom fields (but only in line items) and fields supplied by SAP to the template for Upload General Journal Entries, for example BSTAT and BELNR. After uploading and removing any errors, I can't upload the documents and, unfortunately, no errors pop up in the Show Log, but meaningless information The document 001 could not be uploaded due to incomplete header entry, I've already gone through the header countless times, there are no mandatory fields missing, or others, which could affect it.

The closest I've come to identifying the most likely faulty field is BELNR, as soon as there are any values in there, this info pops up. After removing the BELNR, the documents were entered successfully.

Could someone please advise me where I am going wrong? Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Racha,

I just downloaded the template in the “Upload General Journal Entries” App and filled it out with a simple example to test the process.

I was successful to test the Excel Spreadsheet in one of our internal SAP Test systems (screenshot with all the filled out fields below). Feel free to replicate the example with the customer info in your system to test it. I also added the key screenshots below showing the process.

I suggest to always download the current template since it could evolve with future releases and filled out the required information.

I hope this helps.

It is an informational message and should not prevent the journal entry postings. However, you can review your template in the header section to ensure dates, references, and company codes are populated. You can also try posting a manual journal entry using the same data to check if everything is ok.
