Hi,
We have a scenario where we need to auto update few of the recommended SAP HANA parameters as part of NZDM HANA upgrade process . The parameter changes are usually done after each SAP HANA upgrade where SAP recommended new HANA parameters values are implemented/changed. Does LaMa have the option of accepting input as raw file data ? We would want to pass our several alter statement commands via file input in LaMa. The normal custom parameters have a limitaion of 1024 characters is what I have read.
Request clarification before answering.
Hey there,
thanks for reaching out! Are you going for replacement of a certain subset of those SAP HANA parameters or rather replacing the entire file (including both altered and untouched parameters) altogether? In case of the latter, you could enhance the process with a step copying the file containing all parameters to the designated target location after the upgrade of SAP HANA. One idea would be to maintain the parameter file location as a custom parameter. Might this help?
Cheers,
Andreas

Hi Andreas, Our requirement was to have the entire file containing several alter statements. The 1024 restriction can be temporarily overcome by providing the alter statements as a parameter type input and later on grep them selectively from PARAMETER_FILE standard LAMA variable. Regards, Santa
