Update Solman JAVA and Solman Abap separately

Hello Team,

Recently SPS19 for SAP solution manager was released. We may not be able to do a complete ABAP+JAVA Update in one go.

I wanted to enquire , if we can update Solman JAVA to SPS19 first then after 3-4 months proceed to Solman ABAP.

Would this have any impact on the functioning of the Solman environment. We use solution manager for SLD, PDF generation ,Monitoring and CHARM.

We will be very thankful for your guidance.

Hi,

We do not recommend this. When you plan to upgrade SAP Solution Manager system, you need to upgrade both ABAP and Java systems to the same SPS level. Please do not update any individual software component to higher SP level without SAP confirmation. It may cause unexpected errors.
