Hi,
when i want to update sap hana database revision from 2.00.036.00 to 2.00.037.05 is it any kernel should i update too?
because I haven't found a snote that says the need for a kernel update at the time of the revision update.
also i see this in snote:
SLES for SAP Applications 12 / SLES 12 - consult SAP Note 2205917 for recommended OS settings
12 SP5 (HANA 2.0 SPS04 revision 45 and newer)
12 SP4 (HANA 2.0 SPS03 revision 35 and newer)
12 SP3 (HANA 2.0 SPS02 revision 23 and newer)
12 SP2 (HANA 2.0 SPS01 and newer, up to HANA 2 SPS03)
12 SP1 (HANA 2.0 SPS00 and newer, up to HANA 2 SPS03)
it said SLES 12 SP2 up to HANA 2.0 SPS03 and SLES 12 SP3 HANA 2.0 SPS02
my current OS using SLES 12 SP 3, how if i use Hana DB version 2.00.037.05 is it any problem?

Hi Irfan,
To your question on Kernel upgrade, check if you have the required OS kernel version as mentioned in note 2205917 for SLES 12 SP3 "Please upgrade the Linux kernel to version 4.4.120-94.17.1 or newer." If you are good, then you can proceed with the Hana upgrade.
Any version above Hana 2 SPS 02 Rev 23 is supported on SLES 12 SP3, so you don't have any issues with SPS 03 Rev 37 upgrade.
But please follow the OS recommendations mentioned in the note 2205917 before you proceed. Also 2455582 note has to be followed.
Thanks, MC
