Unable to remove version from SAC story table

Hi there I need to remove the version from the table entirely as I'm using a dynamic version filter that users can select to display the version amounts via restricted measures. I'm trying to create a new calculated measure that subtracts the BaseVersion from the ComparativeVersion (across multiple fields, so a simple table 'Subtract' function does not work), however since the version is coming as a required dimension, it displays the calculation in the two separate versions across two columns. I noticed that consultants who previously worked at my company were able to achieve this in a separate story, but when I try to replicate what they have done (in order to see which step is required to remove the Version), I can't seem to even replicate this. Is there something attached to the table that allows Version to be removed completely? I can't seem to see anything different, all selections and filters are the same, only that with the table I'm recreating, the version cannot be removed.

(1) The table where the version has been removed (by consultants who worked at the company in the past)

(2) The table where I'm trying to replicate (1), though I can't remove the version despite the same filtering and selection criteria. Thanks in advance.
