Unable to Handle TIME Characteristics into Input Enabled BEx Query (refer Screenshot for Details)

Hi Experts,

I am unable to handle the TIME Characteristics for my business requirement.

Time Characteristics is needed in the Columns, But also needed for a Key Figure's Characteristics Restriction.

BEx query is becoming Input-Disabled once I am using the Time Characteristics into Column section & for Characteristic Restriction of a Key Figure. I have attached a screenshot with details.

The question here is, how to display Time in Columns. When I am trying to use Time Characteristics into BEx Prompt(Variable), query is getting input-disabled (reason: I have used Time Characteristics into Key Figure's Characteristics restriction for Basic Salary & Overhead Column).

Dear Mukesh,

Could you please try to follow below steps .

1) Keep all selection as it is except time Character and try to make Time character(fiscal year period) as column restriction (local Filter as column).

2) Joining month salary and Over head percentage key figures column have default time selection .( Example.2020.INP). Based on two input key columns then create formula column in order to get Total monthly ( Join month sal * Overhead%)

3) Rest of other columns Q1,Q2,Q3 and Q4 go with customer exit to calculate Quarter values based on Time period . Example 001.2020, 002.2020 and 003.2020 then result as Q1.2020 using customer exit this derivation process is same for other quarters (Q2,Q3 and Q4) value respectively.

in this step you can user posting period (001, 002,003) and fiscal year (user selection 2020) combination.
