Unable to download Desktop Agent for SAP Build Process Automation

Hello Everyone,

I am currently working on a DOX (Document information extraction) Bot project in SAP Build Process Automation; and I am following the tutorial (sap-tutorials/sap-build-process-automation) about "Install and Set Up Desktop Agent 3" from @pbujnicka. I followed the documentation to create the user in RBSC portal, having an S-number user in SAP BTP trial cockpit, and set up the Secret ID.

But when I go to the Control Tower, and then to the Download Page, the box with the droplist to download the Agent installation file does not appear (image attached). Note: The role ProcessAutomationAdmin is already assigned to the user, and the technical user is created, and Secret ID generated and in Status: "Valid".

There is no error message and nothing to know what is going wrong.

Please let me know, if I am missing out on anything or what is the cause of this problem and of course how can I fix it.

I had the same problems so I download it manually. On the tutorial that you refer(Install and Set Up Desktop Agent 3 | SAP Tutorials), There is a tab for manually downloading the app.

Hello Kaito2, Thank you for your response, in the tutorial, there is an image that suggests that it is possible to download the Desktop Agent for Mac and for Windows, see the image1 inserted below taken from the tutorial, however, when using the SAP Development Tools site to go to download the agent, there is only one option to download and it is for Windows. Could it be that they removed the possibility to work with the Desktop Agent on Mac? I understood from previous information that it was already released and operating correctly. This is a limitation because it would force some customers to use a virtual machine on their computers (VMI) to install the windows agent and work the automation from there and some will not want to do it and will resort to other competing products. I would very much appreciate comments and/or workaround suggestions. For now, for my tests I switched machines to work my project on windows... for my clients it will be another story.... I suggest you to post another question on the community. I also confirmed that there is no option to download desktop agent for Mac. However, according to this post(https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-q-a/desktop-agent-for-mac-in-sap-process-automation/qaq-p/12...), there used to be an option to do that.

I checked "Go to Download" page now, and found the button to download desktop agent for mac. Probablly it was not available for a time for some reason, but it is right now.

Hello Team, From one moment to another, now the button and the drop-down list to download the agent appear. However, when I try to download the agent for Mac from this point I get the message: ” Unable to download the Agent. Please contact your administrator". I have all the Admin roles for SAP Build assigned, so I don't know again what is the cause of this problem. Please cloud you give me some advice. There is no more information about this error message than what I am telling you, but I attached the screen shots just in case. Thank you for any help. Best regards.

Could you double-check your SAP for Me>My setting>Authorizations&Functions page? In order to download Desktop Agent, your also need to be assigned to "Software Download" role. If you are not, contact your co-worker who manage atuhentication for SAP for Me. Regards,
