Troubles with IDOC and write modus append for SFTP server

Hi experts,

I have next problem. Delivering files (IDOCs) through PO from SAP system and trying to append them into 1 file. Problem comes when client is connecting server too early and pick file when it is not yet fully completed.

Is there any solutions how to make it more safe? Maybe some one had same situation?

Good opportunity to make use of the temporary file option.

as already mentioned, there is a temp file solution. So the file is written into the target SFTP with a temporarily file name. However, it only works if the receiver is picking up only files that not matches the temporarily filename.  We had one partner in the past, they only could poll with "*" in the folder. So we agreed on the time in the hour we are writing and he is reading. So we where transferring the files between xx:00 - and xx:30 and he was only picking up 2nd half of the hour.

If there is the problem vise versa: How to influence PI - as with the restart you want to continue like this - you have to setup scheduling. Say you start at 01:00 and you end at 23:00 you channel.
