Trying to smoothen out a graph a bit, by using smooth trendlines. However when placing the trendlines on the graph, they do not appear when I go to preview the graph.
Here is the design portion of my graph, showing the trendline in green, oversized for emphasis. This is created by right clicking the currently selected blue line (this line correlates with the data I am smoothing for), selecting trendlines, picking smooth and making sure to uncheck "show color same as series":
However, when I preview the graph, the trendline is nowhere to be seen, and nothing I can do gets it to appear. I tried generating trendlines for every line, then making those original lines transparent (making sure the trendlines don't inherit this color) and this just makes all the lines transparent. For reference here is what my graph looks like, using the trendline referenced above:
Any tips? I'm at my wits end of trial and error.
Request clarification before answering.
In researching this, it appears I am unable to add trendlines for data axis line charts. I was able to add trendlines by using the same query and instead specifying a side by side bar chart.
Is there anyway I can work around this? I cannot possibly go through every graph and indivdually recreate all of them again.

Hello,
Does anyone have any other thoughts on this? Seems like a bug but of course there is no documentation anywhere to support this.

Abhilash,
I encounter the same behavior when performing the actions when previewing the graph, instead of in design mode.

Instead of highlight the line in the "Design" mode, could you do the same while in the "Preview" mode?

Hey Abhilash,
Unfortunately unchecking "auto-arrange" did not resolve the issue. I am using Crystal Reports 2013 SP 9, version 14.1.9.2256
