Is there a way to transport just the Global variables?

In RSA1 > Transport Connection > you can select your variable from under the Query Elements in Object Types pane.
Hope this helps...
Goto RSOR (Transport connector) and choose the object type Query Elements --> choose variables --> make your selection, collect your object and transport.
