hello all,
we are working on SAC Prod tenet, evrey change directly affects the users.
we also have a DEV tenet with different url,
i want to completly copy the existing PROD data into the DEV system,
i tried exporting packages from PROD (export/import) and then importing the package in the DEV system.
there were multiple attemptes to do the import but the import fails, seldom because files "already exists and cannot be moved"
even though i'm using "Overwrite" option.
is there a better way to achive this ?
Request clarification before answering.
Hello, it is quiet simple. The objecty you want to transport exists in the target system with the same name but with differents UID's
You can rename/delete/move the objects in the target system and try one more time.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards

Hi @Eliram_Lugassi,
The error "Files already exist and cannot be moved" typically occurs due to the following reasons:
1.Objects with the same ID already exist in the DEV tenant.
2.Dependencies, such as dimensions or models, are not handled properly.
To resolve this issue, try importing objects one by one. When selecting an object, hold the Ctrl key to choose individual items.
For ex.
Import main folder first then
Model data
Then story
Give this a try it should work!

Thank you!

Hi @Eliram_Lugassi
Could you please make sure you cleared recycle-in in the target tenant and try the import again?
SAC Identifies each object with a Unique GUID. Possibly you have object with same ID in Recycle bin. Please try and let us know.
Thanks,
Ashok
