Totaling 10 KUT field values into 1 KUT Field

Dear masters,

I have a requirement of adding total value of 10 KUT Fields into another KUT Field. But could not able to achieve using KUT Field calculations while creating the KUT field as its allowing only 2 fields to add to the calculation rules.

How can i achieve this requirement simply from KUT options.??

Also exploring this option of creating KUT reference field in SDK by referring to the SCN Blog -

same way can i achieve this by creating one KUT reference field (KUT_COR.ref) referring 10 KUT fields and TOTAL Value KUT Field and populate the total value on the UI.??

Please suggest me on this. Thank you in advance for your valuable time.

Hello Abdul,

Yes, you can refer the fields from KUT to PDI and add the values and push to new field. You have to refer all the 10 KUT fields and then the total field as well in Reference component.

My question is - Do i have to create 10 .ref objects in PDI??  or Just 1 .ref object is enough for all the 10 fields.???

or Is there any other option - without touching PDI??

Hello Abdul,

You can create a single Ref to Customer Specific Fields and in this ref you select all the KUT fields you want to add to your script.

Then in your ABSL, during an After-Modify or Before-Save event, you can totalize your 10 KUT referenced fields into one KUT field.

Hello Abdul,

As Jacques mentioned, you do not need to create 10 .ref objects. Just have to create one and enable all the fields which you want to refer to PDI.
