To stop Email notifications related to workitems

Hi I have similar kind of incident with me. User wants to stop Email notification from VIM but i am not sure it is related to vim or SAP MM

user is getting mail with subject line “Process invoice audit” comp code/doc no./2021 and this remainder email is related to one workflow which is 2021 very old three back from now.

these kind of remainder emails getting only to the nine users and out of 9, two members dont want email notifications and they want us to stop email remainders related to that work flow.

i have took one of the email as a sample and in that email there is a PO number company code and doc number is there. I took those details and searched in VIM but no documents found and i searched some where inswi1 and found workflow id and task and went through technical details. I didn’t find any maild id’s to remove.

can anyone please help me i have been trying to resolve the issue since three weeks but i failed and i went through all the details and system settings but i did find any Mail addresses to remove in system settings related to that workflow.

please guide me on this

The email may be sent by a job running called Extended Notifications. This sends an email for every workitem(workflow) sent to users. Details below.

Thanks for response. I have gone through that mentioned blog. But I didn’t find anywhere to delete or exclude the user mail ID and User is getting only old workflow items 2021 workflow items. and those emails are coming from workflow batch and receipients are 9 users out of 9 users 2 mail id’s need to remove and those two users don’t want the email remainders so is there anyway to exclude the user mail id’s.

when system is sending the email reminders to the related workflow items purchase documents, it means some where work flow items got stucked in the year of 2021. Thats why they are getting the email notifications.

Today we found workflow related table. In that table i filtered the 2021 workflow items with Task id and user id, we got all the workflow items related to user id and all those workflow items are in the year of 2021 and exported and sent to the user. Once i got confirmation from user for deletion of those work items. Then we will delete all those 2021 year work items. and lets seee whether the issue will resolve or not

Hi,

If you have the program name just search in SM37 what background job is sending those emails and there you can edit the Variant and can remove those two people name from it. Also, please check SOST which may give you more idea.

Seems like your suggestion is very near to the solution. but the challenging thing is how to know and check the program name and which background job is sending mails to the users. These details already checked with basis team but they are helpless. & also checked SOST i got only dome details ---(document contents, date & time, sender - WF-Batch, receiver - to 9 users mail ID's) let me check again as per your suggestion if not possible, then we will go for final option to "deletion of the work flow items in the year of 2021 stucked items with corresponding task id and user ID.
