Hi,

First of all  I would like to say that I don't know whether this question is for this thread of it wuold be better in the Bex thread.

I've a infocube and a query (A) made from that infocube. That query has a lot of calculated KF.

Now I've been asked to make a multicube with that infocube and with another one and, the new query should have all the calculated KF of the the A query and another KF coming from the new infocube.

My question is, is it possible to copy or keep the CKF of A query without having to make them again in the new query from the multicube?

Thanks a lot.

Regards.

Hi David,

For your scenario  you can use

1) Tx Code : RSZC  -  To copy query from one infoprovider to another infoprovider & make sure that both infoproviders  have same structure.

2) After Query is copied to the required target , Next add your  Cube B to your Multicube, pulling in the required  KFs from Cube B.

Thanks

Hi David,

Yes,Query can be copied from Cube to Muntiprovider,  if the two Info providers are with same Structures.

Hi Yogi,

first of all I have created a multiprovider with the sales cube and my infoprovider and the structure is the same than my infoprovider, I mean, the same dimensions and ratios.

After that with the rszc I have put the source infoprovider my infoprovider (with the CKF I would like to copy)  and the destination infoprovider the multiprovider.

I press F8 and in case I had selected queries then it proposes me the KF in the infoprovider but not the CKF in the query that is what I would like to copy.

Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot.

Hi David,

In the RSZC screen after you enter your source and target details, Please use the option shown below.

Not sure if this option doesn't exist in earlier version, But im on 7.3.

i have done a test run and got the CKFs transferred to the Multicube.

Hope this Helps.

Thanks

the second line says: the infocube does not contain any component of the CKF type.

Actually my CKF are created in the query with the Query Designer. These are the CKF I would like to coyp by, in the new multiprovider I haven't still created any query...

Is it necessary create a new query first of all?

Thanks.

Hi David,

Your Query A on infocube will be copied on to the new Multicube created,

While performing the RSZC operation, It shall prompt for the new query name, In case if you have missed it follow the same RSZC step again and check.

After following the above discussed procedure please also check the where used for the new multicube, you may find the query.

Hope it helps.

Please let me know further.

Thanks

Yogi

Hi Bhavin,

using RSZC with the option queries I only see KF but not CKF of the query.

Perhaps it is necessary enable some setting in the CKF?

Thanks.
