Table Buffering in sm30

Hi Experts,

I have a doubt on the below case and request to guide me the same.

1. I have created a custom table in development and TMG with some 1000 entries maintained via sm30 without 'Buffering Activated' in technical settings .

2. I have moved this table and the entries to quality system.

3. Now, I want to activate the table to be 'Buffering Activated' and fully buffered in development considering the performance

4. Can i perform the step-3 in development and capture in other transport and move to quality again.

5. OR, do i need to carry any additional steps or some adjusted ?

Kindly suggest me the same.

Your proposal of capturing in a new transport will be sufficient.

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the Suggestion. I have tried the same. Actually, I was trying to do it to increase the performance when the table was buffered. But, the time got increased now from the previous by activating this option . I have check few of the blogs related to buffering in table to increase the performance. But, it did not happen in my system. Thanks.

Before doing any modification, you have to check what the exact problem is. Do you know how to analyze performance issues?

Hi @karthik_sub,

Use AL12 to check the table buffering.

First check if the records are buffered using the following options. For example, I could get T005 buffer to be filled using the tcode for House Banks.

If you need to reset the buffer for a table to be sure, you can use the following option from AL12:
