Tab vs Drop Down Option to List Pages in a Story

Our user group prefers the tab version to show the different pages in a Story since our Stories do not have a lot of pages. How does a Developer change it to default to the TAB Bar Display option?

Thanks Debjit. Appreciate the quick response. We actually did figure that out, what you shared. But changing it to Tab Bar is not kept as a default, i.e., when a user closes the Story then it reverts back to "tab-less" page. Our user group wants the story to load with the default Display = TAB BAR. How do we do this?

My two cents contribution: I thought the bookmarks could help. Create a bookmark with Tab Bar displayed and mark the bookmark as default. But unfortunately it did not help! So bookmarks are not bookmarking Display options surprisingly!

Default setting is not available at this moment. Workaround would be to use app tab strip or hyperlinks in stories.

SAP SAC Product Team should consider this as enhancement as well; it's totally a reasonable request from mz.geekie's team.

Hello mz.geekie,

You can toggle between dropdown and tab view by using "Tab Bar" option. With new release now dropdown is the default view. But you can always change it to tab bar view.

Open Story in view mode > Display > Tab Bar

At present there is not setting to default it to tab bar mode. You can use Analytic designed to tabs and let it be default setup.

You can follow below steps to enable Tab Bar option as default view option in SAC Optimized view mode. 

1. Option 'Left Panel'
2. Go to 'Outline' > 'Global Settings' > 'Navigation'
3. Enable the toggle "Override default Settings " and Click Done.
4. Save the Story.
