When we upgraded our SAP ERP system from Oracle 11g to 19c, the performance of the abap program went down significantly.

Detailed system information before and after the upgrade is provided below.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

If so, how was it resolved?

[After]

Please review SAP notes 2799900, 2800001, and 1020260.

Install latest ORACLE patches, and consider reorganize the tables and recalculate the statistics.

To analyze the issue:

A complete upgrade means, SBP and parameter are adpated for 19c. => I suppose this is done.

So please share:

1, in st03n, it shows database slow or sap abap slow?
2. if it is database slow, what wait event is high?
3. or can you share awr report?
4. if there is particular sql(s) slow, then please share, we can try to tune

Or you can book a TPPO service from SAP sales/tqm to do some performance tuning.

Mr. James Zhang

Thank you very much for your reply.

SAP abap slow.

>3. or can you share awr report?

The performance of the DB itself is not bad,

so we are puzzled as to why the performance degradation of the ABAP program is occurring.

If it is abap processing slow, you may reach SAP support.
Sorry I am only working oracle side, have no idea on abap. -(
