Hi,

I am having an error updating Solution manager to SP12 from SP04. I am using SUM and please see error attached.

I am just on the step specify credentials.

Log is also attached here. Please assist us as we have a go-live this week so we need to update the SP to a higher level.

Hi Almira,

Set the below parameter

service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT in all the profiles (start profile , default profile and instance profile , scs profile as well.

When you will open your JSPM , you will face the same issue. So make the parameter change in all the profiles.

You don't need to set the parameter service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT in all the profiles. You need to set the parameter in DEFAULT.PFL profile.

Have you restarted the sapstarsrv processes ?

If this doesn't help then set (change) service/protectedwebmethods = NONE and restart all sapstarsrv processes.

We can't access the GUI now, the disp+work in SAPMMC is in yellow with status:

Dispatcher Running but dialog queue standstill, AS Java: All processes running.

You have issues at the DBCLONE phase and I don't understand what has a thread related to Shadow Import got to do here.

Is the main system up and running ?

First make sure that the main system is up and running.

As you are on MSSQL make sure the log area is not used up.

Yes having error on phase DBCLONE in SUM. And I can't login to the GUI because of the status of the disp+work.

The log drive is also not full and has more space.

How can we pass that phase?

What was related to the error that was pasted not on the stage where the error occurred.

It was for RFC_TIMEOUT. Perhaps, just to show what to do in such cases - to check your system is up and running.

Error Message: RFC login to system ERS ashost NHCD04 nr 04 gwhost NHCD04 gwservice sapgw04 failed with code 8 key RFC_TIMEOUT: Timeout while opening a RFC connection

Hi AJ,

1st check MSSQL logs for any issue.

If all other things are fine and sql logs are fine, then

1st do a restart of your system to free up memory for buffersync problems.

If above is not working, then

Try to increase the value of profile parameter rdisp/bufreftime.

Then restart you system.

P.S. This parameter is used for "Refresh Interval in Distributed Systems", not sure if this supports in your case.
