Hi,
we have to upgrade several ERP 6.0 EhP5 to EhP7.
Source: ERP 6.0 EhP5 SPS5 (Kernel 7.20)
Target: ERP 6.0 EhP7 SPS2 (Kernel 7.40)
OS: HP-UX 11.31
DB: Oracle 11.2.0.2
SUM 1.0 SP09 Patch 4
We have 2 complete SAP systems (DEV and QAS) on the same physical host. The 2 systems share the 32 GB physical memory. The SUM tool assigns 40% of the physical memory to the shadow instance. The parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE = 40% will set automatically in the file RESSMIN of the shadow instance. That is too much memory assigned for the shadow instance. Of course we can manually intervene and set the parameter em/initial_size_MB = 4096
Is it possible to suppress this behavior of the SUM tool, that we haven`t to intervene manually?
Regards,
Joe

Hello
There is no possibility to configure memory parameters for the shadow system in SUM.
Once the shadow profiles are created you can edit the profiles and change the memory configuration.
