Hello
When we attach documents in Standard Fiori apps by default it get stored in GOS. We wanted to store attachment in archive link as we do in SAPGui transaction which stores the document reference in TOA* tables. How do we achieve the same for Standard Fiori app to store the attachment in Archive link instead of GOS.

Abdul Hakim

Dear,
1st of all it is important to understand that ArchiveLink technology is being replaced by DMS in the Fiori Apps.
HDM - Harmonized document management - is the global term on top of the DMS and KPro technologies.
ArchiveLink attachments can in some cases still be displayed in some Fiori Apps, but not in all cases, and such attachments are not supposed to be created anymore in S/4.
SAP is in a kind of transition phase where, when you add attachments, for some Fiori Apps they are still stored as GOS (KPro), and for some others as DMS.
The use of DMS allows to have distinct document types for different attachments when needed, as it was possible in ArchiveLink.
So in practice there is very often a "discrepancy" between what you can see in usual SAPGUI/WebGUI (= Fioritized) transactions (usually ArchiveLink and GOS/Kpro) and what you can see in Fiori Apps (usually GOS/KPro and DMS).
For cases where there is a business need to use both WebGUI (as Fioritized) and Fiori Apps, and there are such cases, then the only option is to put in place an attachment-link-sync applications that ensures that attachments are made visible in all different types of UI.
You may either try to develop such an application -not always obvious- or use the one on the market, YAC by ZNK.

Harmonized Document Management is what you should be looking at. The list of apps supporting HDM has been steadily growing and can be found in SAP Note 3220119 - Business applications in SAP S/4HANA that have adopted Harmonized Document Management (HDM)

Hi,
Indeed HDM is restricted to few Standard Fiori apps only. SAP shall very probably add more and more Apps over the next releases but of course we don't know how many releases it will take before most of it is covered.
Also note that some Apps, and Dispute Management is one of them, are storing attachments yet in a slighlty different way technically.

Hi Abdul
Suggest you take a look at S/4HANA Harmonized Document Management (HDM) configuration. This is a standard part of S/4HANA that brings together multiple attachment services so that from all S/4HANA apps - both SAP Fiori apps and classic Uis such as GUI transactions - you can view or store attachments in the appropriate place based on configuration, without the user having to worry about where the attachment is stored.
