Stop emailing alerts to AIF recipients

I went to /AIF/CUST and inside the path SAP Application Interface Framework -> Error Handling -> Define Namespace-Specific Features.

Maintained recipient under Define Recipients, say 'ZRECIPIENT'.

Configured alert under Configure Alerts, by giving the alert category 'ZALERT' (created in ALRTCATDEF), namespace and default recipient 'ZRECIPIENT'. All the checkboxes are checked for Include Success/Info/Error/Warning/Abort messages.

Then, I went to the path SAP Application Interface Framework -> System Configuration -> Recipients -> Assign Recipients and assigned users and roles.

Now, the users can see the errors/warnings/success count in /AIF/IFMON, which is my desired requirement.

But, the users are also receiving mails. This is not required. We need to stop sending the alert mails to users. How to do it?

I think the only solution is a user-specific one. Each and every user under the recipient list needs to individually disable the alert emails from the interface monitor /AIF/IFMON.

This yellow marked button above acts as a toggle. Every time you click on it, the icon changes to one of the following:

Icon

Description

Never receive an email for this interface

Receive an email for the next alert

ritam_de1997_29_2-1762963320918.png

Receive an email for every error for this interface, regardless of alert status

Keep clicking on the icon till you get the icon for ‘No Email’, which is ritam_de1997_29_3-1762963460085.png.

If a recipient does this, only that person will stop receiving emails. Rest will continue to receive. So, every individual under recipient list has to do this themselves.

Hi @ritam_de1997_29 ,
the email notification is customized within namespace specific configuration. The checkboxes under point "Configure Alerts" need to be unticked. Afterwards, the mailing should be stopped.

Regards,
Sebastian

Hi @sebastian_gottmann3, I tried the same, disabled all checkboxes under Configure Alerts. But it didn't work. Mails are still sent.
