standard LIKP table not getting activated after append structure and doing se14

Hi Gurus,

 I am badly in need of help as client is waiting to move the tr into production. Plz help me with this issue.

I have added new field to the exising append structure zzlikp_append as per the business requirement to the standard table likp.
I have done se14 adjust and activate. 

The thing is that it is not throwing any error it is just processing. I would like to know how much time it will take to process 25000 records in my sandbox. it is more than 2 hours. 

I also faced one dump of 

TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION”

which is not getting now. Neither it is showing any error. 

The only page in front of me is 

Is there any way to know how much time it will complete ?
or should I have to do anything to fix this issue ?

You can't know the time needed to adjust, you'll see. Next time, adjust in background. TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION is normal if at the same time you adjust and you run a program using anything related to your adjusted table. Search the Web for more information.

There are around 25000 records in the SAP Data Base table LIKP. Its more than 2 hours and the background job is still in Active mode. I am loosing hope now. I even doubt if this job would be Finished by morning. What should I have to do if the job is in Active even after 12 hours ?

5 hours for tiny 25000 lines is really too much. Are you sure you are counting the total number of lines of LIKP in all clients of the system? Also, if you run it in dialog, there should be a timeout after some time, are you sure you didn't lose the connection with the backend and the adjustment is done?
