SSO works with GUI but not with webgui html

Hi Mentor,

We use SSO with Kerberos authentication for SAP GUI (for ECC6.0 ABAP) and it works very well. So while logging through SAP GUI we dont have to provide any passwords.

But the same isnt working for WEBGUI, while when I execute webgui from SICF tcode, and html page prompts for client, username and password, rather I want this to  function as SAP GUI, I believe there is some additional setting that I am missing which needs to be enabled for WEBGUI.

Please check attached screenshot.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ayush

Hi Ayush,

the pure Kerberos support only covers SAP GUI. For web based applications you need SPNEGO, which is a wrapper for Kerberos. The documentation for SAP Single Sign-On (  http://help.sap.com/sso   ) explains how to enable this.

Hi Christian,

Thanks for your reply. But as we know for Kerberos authentication ( on AS ABAP system only) we dont need additional AS JAVA system.

So you mean now that I want to enable WEBGUI (on AS ABAP system only) I have to deploy SPNego on AS JAVA system.. .so I will require SPNego to be configured on AS Java system, correct ?

Thanks

Ayush

Hi Ayush,

AS Java is not required. You can enable SPNEGO on the AS ABAP itself.

Best regards,
