SSO using OKTA - launches FLP twice

we've completed the SSO configuration for SEN. When accessing the fiori launch pad, it loads fully, then switches to the okta authentication screen, before switching back to the FLP (see attached). 

for customers that use okta as their IDP - do users have the same experience ?

Please check the SAP Note 2823440. In short, it recommends adding the IAS tenant between the service providers (SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Enable Now, etc.) and the Identity provider (Okta).

There is also a workaround, but I won't post it here as I need to know all the details about your issue.

Hi Adeola,

I think that what you are observing is SAP Companion authenticating.  The FLP will load and authenticate the user but then the SAP Companion application, that you have integrated into the FLP, must also authenticate the user before it can provide content.

Thanks Shane, I'm aware it is authenticating - it just seems a bit clunky, the SSO authentication for other products like SAC or SuccessFactors doesn't operate like that - the application opens after the authentication - for SEN, it loads the FLP before authenticating companion/SEN - and then loads the FLP again
