Hi All,
We are planning to do DB migration from SQL Server to ASE.
Source (old Server)
OS:Win 2003
DB: SQL Server 2005
APP: ECC 6.0
Target System(New Server)
OS: Windows 2012
DB: ASE 16
APP: ECC6 EHP 8
We are planning to upgrade using SUM DMO with System Move.
But as per the SUM central note OS should be Windows 2012 or higher if target SAP_BASIS is 750 or above.
With SUM DMO with system move option Import (DB migration) will run on new server, So it will comply the OS prerequisite for target SAP_BASIS 750.
Is this correct or any other approach? Please suggest.
Thanks in advance
Hi Suresh,
SUM DMO SAP Note 2631152 - Database Migration Option (DMO) of SUM 2.0 SP03 mentions for target database SAP ASE and source database MS SQL:
MS SQL 2005 (available on request), or a higher version, if target SAP_BASIS is 750. Therfore please open a custmer ticket on component
BC-UPG-TLS-TLA in order to request for it.
Regards Tobias
