Does anyone have more details on an issue we experienced in S4 Hana where the source of supply determination seems to work differently when manually creating PReqs vs PReqs created via MRP?
We are trying to implement simplified sourcing (eliminating the use of source lists) and have the MRP pick up a contract directly to be assigned to the created PReqs.
Expectation is (same as with using source lists) that source assignment is looking for a valid contract which is valid at the time of the delivery date specified in the PReq.
This is valid when manually creating the PReqs via ME51N.
However, when MRP creates the PReqs it is always the PReq creation date which determines the contract to be selected.
