SOST - Subject translation issue

Hi Friends,

We have sent an email via QM01. The subject is fetched from SO10 text and has been maintained in three languages.

In English logon, the subject appears correctly. However, when I log on in another language, the subject is displayed as the default “Email triggering for notification”.

The text is being read using READ_TEXT with SY-LANGU.

Why would you expect the system to translate the subject that is derived from a long text (especially in the cast of long text) in SOST? SOST is only going to show the email record as it was created, which would be subject to whichever language was used when the email was created, and further it would not be aware of anything that is developed/configured in QM01.

I agree with @Ryan-Crosby: you are requesting the text in the logon language before the email is sent.

@Ryan-Crosby thanks for your update. QM01 sends the email in German, and the document title/subject appears correctly in SWI1. However, in SOST, the document title/subject is displayed in English. but it should display in german language

You don't give enough information. How were the workflow item and the email generated?

Anyway, a work item text is subject to translation, but not emails.

Your question title is about emails, not about work item texts. Anyway, this additional question has been already answered in the forum, it's like anything else: if it's standard, you install the language supplement; if it's custom, you log in the wanted language and you type the text. Good luck.
