sorting group formula fields

we are discussing and solving the issue for above said subject .kindly click the link for more information(https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3913362), unfortunately i cannot reply on archived Q&A that's what i am writing new section.

based on your last answer from you i tried in my system. the value is coming current and when i am going for group sort the negatives are coming down and positive values are on top. basically what i need is regardless of positive or negative i need all the values to be positive and that values need to come together in sort order as example below

Hi,

In detail level, use this formula and then sum it up.

If {valuefield} <0 then {valuefield}*-1 else {valuefield}

Sum the the results of this formula at group level then go in Report-- Group sort expert-- define Top N as 200000 (based on your maximum record count) and select the summary.

This will convert all your numbers in positive and sort.
