Sort the "Available objects" as the "Result objects pane"

Hi,

Is there a way to either make the Available objects area, sort in the order of the result objects in the query panel, or like they are sorted in the universe instead of the default ascending?

Hello Kris,

You cannot sort the Available objects in the query panel of webi. It needs to be sort at the universe. Please note that if the columns present in the database are in the non-sorted order, when you include the table and insert a class, the objects appear in the same order as in the db(non-sorted). So I suggest you to set the parameter "COLUMNS_SORT" to Yes and insert the tables and joins. Post which you can create a class  by dragging the table into the left hand side pane. Other option is to manually sort the order in the universe.

Hi Madhumitha,

I have already rearranged the objects in the universe, and they are still sorted in the query panel. But when I look in the available objects inside the report, they are sorted alfabetically in stead.

I also can't seem to find the COLUMNS_SORT parameter in IDT, neither in the DF og BL.

in case of a free hand sql query, we mostly need the objects to display in the same order as queried. that's a real issue when dealing with fair amount of columns and just have to rearrange them in the report as they should be. this feature was supported in BO 4.2 and disapeared from 4.3. real bummer 😞
