SOIN -EXCEL data Binary conversion issue - S050 method - PROCESS_INBOUND - cont_hex[]

Hi Gurus,

I am working on requirement , Need to post some data in SAP based on inbound email excel attachment data

Excel data is coming as hex decimal format inside the method PROCESS_INBOUND of interface IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS, while converting that data into text/string format , data getting converted as junk values.

I am trying to covert the data using standard class cl_bcs_convert methods , FM Starts with SCMS* 

but nothing working out.

Could you please provide help me how i can achieve this .

The two initial characters "PK" mean for sure that it's a ZIP file = class CL_ABAP_ZIP to decompress.

Thanks Sandra_Rossi for your response . I am using the CL_ABAP_ZIP class to decompress data , the class is giving the multiple files as shown below

but while converting them into text format , running into the conversion issues (file - xl/printerSettings/printerSettings1.bin)

, Please refer below . kindly suggest if I am doing anything wrong here.

Okay. So, your original question is "how to decode XLSX format", especially xl/printerSettings/printerSettings1.bin. It's a mix of text and binary, and it's not an SAP question, it's an Excel question, you won't find any answer in the Web. Why do you want to decode it?

Hi Sandra_Rossi, I need to read the cont_hex[] ( Excel file attachment data which comes to sap via inbound email) into internal data ( readable format),update the custom table ..this Excel data has the FI related posting data.. could pls suggest me how do I achieve this?

You may read an XLSX file via the Excel XCO interface or abap2xlsx. There is also one blog post with a light XLSX reader (only the values).

i am working on ECC 6.0 SAP BASIS 700 SP Level 0030 . i dont find XLSX file via the Excel XCO interface or abap2xlsx in system. i will let you know if any i find any solution . Thank you for your replies.

the system which i am working on, not having the class cl_xlsx_document and its relevant classes (around more than 30 classes).

So copied them to Zclasses from another SAP system which has these classes.  Now i am able to read the inbound email excel attachment binary data to internal tables . 

my attachment has date fields whose values not coming properly format. working on that issue right  now.
