soap(on Premise) to soap(on premise) connection in sap cpi

Hi ,

I have requirement where i need to use SOAP to SOAP scenario and both side system is On Premise.

and this a PI migration to CPI.

Shall i use cloud connector to connect to on premise SOAP system(ECC).

Also is there anything i need to do while migrating it from PI to CPI.
