Hi,
I have to move from development to test-system, so I did an export
of design objects and the admin import this file into the new system.
He didn't create the Business Systems, Technical System, SWK or
Product in SLD, so I thought I could do this manuelly. I created all
object with same name as in development system, but in directory
he couldn't find all interfaces while defining determination and agreements.
So I found in another thread, that I have to export the SLD objects because
of an ID they have, is this correct?
Is it normal, that I can't edit design objects after import in new system or is
it because of authorisation?
The manual "How To Handle the SLD for SAP XI" describes how to export
objects from SLD, but when I try to download the export file a error occurs:
"The requested resource does not exist." But only with BS and TS. The product
and SWK could be download normally. Any ideas why?
The correct way of exporting is:
-Export/Import technical system
-Export/Import business system
-Export/Import product
-Export/Import SWK
-Export/Import design objects
-Create configuration objects (communication channel and so on)
Correct??
Thanks
chris

Hi,
Did you create the transort targets for the integration directory in the SLD?
The Sequence of import export is correct.
If you need to edit the Ir objects, you would need to double click on your SWCV in the Integration Repository and then select the option, all objects are original objects and objects are modifiable to be able to make the changes.
But, why should you make the change in the QA? Make the changes in the Dev and then import the changes in the IR.

Hi,
I didn't create transport targets. As far as I understood, these are necessary
to connect groups of Business Systems within ONE SLD. I have to
tranpsort those objects from one server to another. Correct?
Your are right. Normally I shouldn't develop on a test system. I was just
curious why it wasn't editable anymore.
But I still got this problem with my export. An idea why I can't download the
file?
@Prashanth
I've seen this before, but I'm not sure if I'm able
to install this on all systems (authorization). And
is this really necessary, if I normally can simple export
the objects as file?
thanks

Hi,

You can edit object in your test system. Its just the authorization issue.
But if you make the changes here and then again dot he transport from development server. You will have problems as the objects have different version.
to make the object editable in your test system -->SWCV
Just at the bottom you have two checkbox, select both of them.

Now I was able to download the export files for my business systems
(sometimes it works, sometimes not), but the technical system export
looks like <a href="http://www.christian-riekenberg.de/upSkript/up/export.JPG">this</a>.
And the text "download file" isn't a link and an error
symbol without a error message appear.
Is it perhaps possible to create a new technical system into the new SLD,
import the BS and linking to the new technical system? Is it just important
to have the correct GUID of the business system???
@Vijaya
thanks, I found the checkboxes. If I ever need to do changes here, it's good to
know where they are
