Single selection in hierarchal input filter - SAC

Hey, 
I'm pretty sure I had this possibility in the past, and I can't find the way now - maybe It's a parameter/preferences issue.

The project's dimension is divided in 2 main groups "CAPEX" & "R&D".

In a "classic" story I've inserted an input control to filter my CAPEX projects.

I want the page to be filtered on only one-member, single selection, without losing the hierarchy structure (I can't choose "flat" because I need the CAPEX selection only).

However If I choose "single selection" the group "CAPEX" appears but not its members (meaning that it's not single, on the contrary, all the members are selected)

May be 2 filters with cascading on. First with the group that is Capex and R&D and second filter for projects which should filter based on group filter selected first.

that can be a workaround, but I have sub-levels in between, so it won't work for me. thanks
