shopping cart workflow in "waiting" status

Hi,

I have an issue in which the workflow for the shopping cart is stuck is stuck at " waiting stauck".

I am unable to restart the workflow.

What can be done to bring the workflow to completion status. I have also attached a screenshot.

If this is happenning for just one shopping cart then ask the business user to change the shopping cart and I assume that change shopping cart will trigger the new workflow instance.

But keep on investigating the issue. Ask the functional guys to replicate this issue to in DEV and look for more authorisation meantime.

there are few other shopping carts which have stuck with the same status.

Hi Meenakshi,

Its very rare that, top work item is being with the status as 'Waiting' .

Get the same workflow log of same workflow with completed status.

In the log, check history tab. It should contain some useful information.

Also go to transaction PFTC --> Task type ---> Workflow template --> your workflow no without WS   ---> Display ---> Where used list.

Here you can check whether this workflow called  from some other workflow or not. If so you have to analyze the log of main workflow.

I manually completed the wait of the workitem. Now it is working fine.

Try to restart using transaction SWPC and SWPR.

Check ST22 for dumps or SM12 for locks

Try executing the Class method or BOR method in isolation via SE24 or SWO1 and check the results.

Check if the task is waiting for some terminating events

I tried SWPC and SWPR. the workitem does not appear in the list.

There are no dumps also.

I cant execute SWO1 as this is occuring in production system

Hi Meenakshi,

Check the history tab of workflow log.

You might get some clues.

Is this happening in Development or in production  ?

Go the workflow builder --> Basic details --> Version dependent tab and check for Events and local events. the workflow might wait for some events.

Also go to SWUD transaction and do the brief analyze of current instance of the workflow.

This is happening in production system.

In the version dependent tabs, there are no events or local events specified.
