Hello SAP Experts,
As part of the SAP PI/PO to SAP BTP integration suite migration, I have a requirement to create MS SQL JDBC connection to on-premises MS SQL DB server in SAP Cloud Connector.
I am facing a challenge while creating a connection while following the naming convention as < SQL server >\<DB Instance>.
Please find below details and if anyone had faced such issues, kindly assist and if there is any workaround for this available also would be helpful.
Business scenario:
Create a MS SQL JDBC connection to on-premises MS SQL DB server when the MS SQL server string is as: <SQL server>\<DB instance>. Example: SDESEQSQL191\SEQ2TEST
Configuration steps:
Create a TCP connection to a non-SAP system in SAP Cloud Connector
Create JDBC Data Source in Integration Suite.
Symptom:
When setting up the Access Control entry in SAP Cloud Connector, in the step to add the internal host and port, SAP Cloud Connector does not allow the naming convention as <SQL server>\<DB instance> throwing the error message below “Invalid or missing input”
SAP cloud connector version is: 2.17.2
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
