Good afternoon

Please your help!

In the app Manage Service Quotation (from SAP S4 HANA Public Edition) when I finished creating a Service Quotation I start to notice that the original date that I enter is different from the end date, as the system updates it to 2 days before the original date. Why this happen? And also why my posting date is a day after I saved my document?

Hello,

Reasons for Date Adjustments

End Date Change

The automatic adjustment of the end date could be linked to system configurations or custom logic implemented via SAP’s framework. For instance, Configurable Parameter and Formula (CPF) framework allows Flexible Proposal of Requested Delivery Dates on Sales Order for dynamic adjustments based on rules defined by your system administrators source.

Posting Date Delay

The discrepancy in the posting date can arise due to standard system behavior using system dates Sales Order change/create times are unclear instead of user-entered dates. This might be influenced by system time settings, reflecting transactions based on server dates rather than those set by users source.

These adjustments are generally in place to accommodate business processes and ensure operational consistency within workflows.

The service may have lead time, the lead time is considered and may affect your end date.

Recommendations

  • Check Configuration: Review any custom settings or rules associated with service quotation dates to ensure they are set as intended.
  • Consult Documentation: If CPF rules might be affecting date results, consulting documentation or your system administrator for changes could be a solution.

Best regards,
