Service Pack to patch HANA Express Edition

Where do we get those SPS ? 

I guess HANA express can't be patched with the regular DB Patches offered in the Support Launchpad, do they?

SAP HANA Version:
2.00.020.00.1500920972 (fa/hana2sp02) 


is a little low, so I want to apply with ./hdblcm as soon as I can download the latest proper SPS for my HANA Express edition

sap.basis20 , the latest HXE version is 2.00.045 and you should be able to upgrade to it by following steps from https://developers.sap.com/group.hxe-upgrading.html

It's done straight from the host by the Downloadmanager itself by specifying the packages in question:

HXEDownloadManager_linux.bin -d /usr/sap/HXE/home/Downloads/ linuxx86_64 installer --ph proxy --pp 80 hxe.tgz hxexsa.tgz

In case there is HXECheckUpdate_linux.bin fire preferable that instead as:

> HXECheckUpdate_linux.bin -a

Correct. That is the (regular) platform edition.

The express edition is a special version for resource constraint hosts subject to a special developer license (free up to 32GB).

Following the usual path it gets my here:

• SAP HANA PLATFORM EDITION/
• SAP HANA PLATFORM EDITION 2.0/

SAP HANA DATABASE 2.0

IMDB_SERVER20_047_0-80002046.SAR
Revision 2.00.047.0 (SPS04) for HANA DB 2.0

You can apply updates to individual components of your SAP HANA, express edition, e.g. SAP HANA cockpit. For this, you will need to access SAP ONE Support Portal > SAP Downloads.

Previous SAP HANA, express edition Support Package Stack (SPS) are not available for download but you can always get the latest version from the SAP Developer Center.

When you download the latest SPS 04 as binary, you should be able to upgrade your SPS 02 system with HDBLCM.
