Hello All,

I developed a CAPM Fiori Application in BAS. I deployed the changes to DEV and CONS. Deployment is successful but i am having issue with destination update in BTP subaccount.

It's throwing below error saying that Update Failed:

Couldn't update service instance '<destination_service_instance_name>'. Service broker error: Service broker destination-service-broker failed with: Failed to update the destination service instance with the user provided configuration.

I tried to update the destination from BAS using mta.yaml configuration but i don't see any change in destination instance in BTP.

Kindly help me to resolve this issue.

Hello All,

Here is a clarification of the root cause which i have received from SAP:

In order to optimize the runtime performance of HTML5 apps looking up destination in HTML5 enabled instances of the Destination service, some changes in the internal structure of the data were introduced. These changes initially were released as a mixture of both the old and new structure. In order to migrate fully away from the old structure (and thus applying the optimization for everyone), a one-time migration of anything left on the old structure was performed. However, this migration had a flaw which removed some of the technical permissions of the migrated objects, making it forbidden for the Destination service broker component to modify them.
Thus, once an update was made which would prompt the broker component to interact with these objects, the observed error occurred.

Hence this was the issue from SAP itself.

Solution:

In order to fix this, SAP applied a one-time operation to restore the technical permission to the migrated objects.

(Reaching to SAP solved the issue.)
