Sending Log data from SAP API Mgmt to SAP Application Logging Service

Hi,

i'm trying to get more transparency and observability in our API Mgmt. I try to use the log message policy according to this reference: Part 7 – API Security Best Practices – Log all API... - SAP Community.

I cannot find any reference if this even possible as due to BTP's Nature you should bind applications to the ALS Service which is not possible as the API Mgmt is an "embedded" app inside the Integration Suite.

I guess i found my own answer to this, please correct me if i'm wrong.

ALS is not meant to be for this use-case. We should rather swap to the Cloud Logging Service which offers several APIs:

Ingest Observability Data | SAP Help Portal and might be suitable for the Message Logging Policy 🙂
