Select All option under LOV Prompt

Hello,

We have a customer that has a extended LOV on a prompt and requires a "Select All" functionality to be added.

To try and solve this issue we suggested the same solution as the one in the

https://answers.sap.com/questions/5365552/%27all%27-option-in-lov-of-a-prompt-to-select-all-valu.htm...

<code>The following example uses the Country and City fields from the Customer table in the Efashion database. <br><br>1. In Designer, go to the object properties of the City field then click the Definition tab. <br><br>2. Add the following WHERE clause: <br><br>@Select(Customer\Country) IN @Prompt('Select Country','A','Customer\Country',multi,free) OR 'ALL' IN @Prompt('Select Country','A','Customer\Country',multi,free) <br><br>3. Click Tools > Lists of Values > Edit a List of Values. Select Country, then click the Edit button. <br><br>4. In Query Panel, click the SQL button. Type the following SQL in SQL Viewer: <br><br>SELECT DISTINCT <br><br>Customer.Country <br><br>FROM <br><br>Customer <br><br>UNION SELECT 'ALL' <br><br>FROM <br><br>Customer <br><br>5. Select the Do not generate SQL before running option. <br><br>6. Save the universe and export it to the repository.

Customer still insisted that:

  1. This has to be applied to each DB Table. It would mean a lot of LOV to cover. In this use case, it is easier to use optional prompt and suggest users not to select any value as it would imply all values are selected
  2. The customer use case needs to first filter the values and then select it one by one. The request of the customer is, even the values are filtered, sometimes it can be still a high amount of checkboxes. Therefore, a select all button would be helpful. See the screenshot.

We also suggested the following approached, which again was discarded:

  1. In the query panel, go to the parameters window of the prompt
  2. Select Optional Prompt
  3. All the values will be selected if the prompt is ignored (Select All button is not needed)

With all this info, is this something possible to be configured or can a additional feature be implemented to solve this request?

Best Regards
