Secure Login Service with SAP GUI for EC Payroll SAPGUI?

Hello,

I wanted to confirm if the new cloud based SLS with SAPGUI will work with accessing EC Payroll systems via SAPGUI and if there is additional set up required? A lot of ECPayroll/SNC configuration is from the SAP side and not the customer owned side, will the new cloud based SLS with IAS be able to be used in this scenario?

Is there any documentation for this particular scenario available as I currently cannot find any?

Hi Martin!

Yes, it should work well.

If you say that SNC setup is there the only thing you'll need to do is to add a new root certificate and to setup a bit secure login client to use particular profile for logon.

SLS doesn't have it's own toolset for the user authentication, so it will always redirect user to IAS. After the successful IAS authentication (whatever the process is there, maybe via the corp IDP) SLS would issue X.509 valid for 12 hour (by default). So that will be required once a day.
