SE71 Graphical Form Painter Error after SAP GUI 800 Patch 11 (64-bit)

Hi SAP Community,

After upgrading to SAP GUI for Windows 800 Final Release - 64-bit, file version: 8000.1.11.1161, build: 2263391, patch level 11, I encountered an issue when attempting to use the Graphical Form Painter in Transaction SE71.

Here’s the exact error message I get:

Graphical Form Painter could not be called (FORMPAINTER_CREATE_WINDOW, )

Message No. TD245

Diagnosis (from SAP message): An error occurred structuring the graphical Form Painter.

System Response: The system switches to the alphanumeric Form Painter.

This issue only started occurring after the recent GUI update. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any known issues or compatibility settings I should check?

i have install SCRLTESP80003_3-80008266 file and my issue has been resolved.

Thanks for the feedback. The reference is in the SAP note 2221815 - SAPscript Legacy Text Editor controls are not packed in SAP Windows GUI Installation - SAP...: the reason is given:

"SAPscript Legacy Text Editor is an obsolete component and is replaced by "MS Word as SAPScript Text Editor" [...] SAP GUI for Windows Release 7.40 Compilation 2 (Patch 05) and higher will not contain the controls for SAPscript Legacy Text Editor [...] If you require SAPscript Legacy Text Editor and SAPscript Form Painter you should install the component [...] can be downloaded from SAP Software Download Center" (see the SAP note for more information).
