SDK Version 1400 does not support Crystal Enterprise version 1100 (FWM 02032)

Hi Team,

When we tried to upgrade Crystal Report XI R2 Server to Crystal Report Server 2020 using the Promotion Management Tool (PMT), we encountered problems. Specifically, we encountered an error stating that Crystal Enterprise version 1100 (FWM 02032) could not be supported by SDK Version 1400 if the old server (Crystal Report XI R2 server) was chosen as the source in the PMT.Next, we attempted to install Java SDK 8 on the CR 2020 server. Upon checking, we discovered that the identical process had encountered the same issue.

Business Objects XIR2 is too old to interface with BI 4.3.x. You will have to upgrade to at least BI 3.1, I don't remember the exact version of Crystal Reports with that version. You will most likely need a two-step process to upgrade.

 Crystal report 2008 version for the interface between CR XI R2 to CR 2020.

First Step: CR XI R2 to CR2008

Second Step :CR 2008 to CR 2020/BI 4.3

Hi Ramesh,

You would need to use the Upgrade Management Tool (UMT) for this migration. Promotion Wizard will not work for Crystal Reports.

Thanks for your support.

For upgrading purposes, we must purchase SAP Crystal Server 2020 (CS). Regretfully, we attempted to install a trial version of the software, and as a result, we discovered that the upgrade management tool (UMT) for SAP Crystal Server 2020 (CS) is not available. We then tried upgrading via PMT, but we were unsuccessful and received the issues mentioned above. I believe that configuring SAP Crystal Server 2020 (CS) is not the best option. Instead, we should purchase SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence(user), where can obtain PMT and UMT.
UMT will be used to process the upgrade to CR 2020.
