Hello, experts!
We need to setup a connection between SAP HANA and SAP HANA Cloud via Smart Data Access(SDA). Need to get access to data from the Cloud system, without replicating it to the HANA on-premise. Is it possible to realise this scenario in SAP HANA 2.0? In web sources, only the reverse scenario appears: connecting sources from SAP HANA on-premise to SAP HANA Cloud.
Could you please help answer this question.

Why not install the dpagent next to your on-prem Hana and use the SDA portion of Hana Smart Data Integration?

Greetings Ivan,
Your scenario is not currently supported, according to SAP Note 2600176 - SAP HANA Smart Data Access Supported Remote Sources.
The administration guide mentions the same constraint
The only possibility would be if your other HANA instance would also be on a public cloud. That scenario is supported.
But, does it have to be via SDA? I am asking that because you could do it with SAP Cloud Connector.

Dear Luis,
Thank you very much for your answer.
I need to use external tables to build Hana calculation views in our on-premise database. Virtual tables would be fine for me. Is it possible to access tables in a remote source (HANA Cloud) using the Cloud Connector to compose calculation views?
The best option would be installing DP agent and using Hana adapter to connect to Hana db and create virtual tables.
