Hello SAP Community,
After an upgrade from R/3 to ECC, logs are no longer visible in transaction SCU3. The logs still exist in DBTABLOG, but not visible because the hostname of the server changed after the upgrade. According to SAP there is no solution or workaround. They suggested keeping the old R/3 system for reference purposes only. This is not feasible.
Since we use these logs for audit purposes it's important to be able to view them.
Has anybody experienced this before and what was your solution?

Hi nigel.lee as your question is did you experience this before , my answer is no and, if the log reading is so necessary, you can download the data for auditing purpose and change the replace the hostname or something.
...But the reason why I picked up the pen and wrote you is that I did an SCU3 evaluation on my system with data from 2005 (therefore old release) AND different hostname WITHOUT any issues 🙂
