We ar confronted by our customer that screen personas need frequent updates if Google Chrome is updated. And any personas upgrade will result in a server reboot.
Can anybody confirm this?
We want to use screen personas on mobile scanners in the warehouse running the Android operating system e.g. Zebra or Honeywell or Keyence.
We only found hints that the cache needs to be cleared on the server and the device.

I have never heard about customers stating such things.
A Chrome update will not dictate a Personas upgrade. On the other hand, it is important to keep Personas itself updated regularly by implementing all released notes for it, especially if experiencing any problem. However, this has nothing to do with Chrome updates.
Similarly, a Personas upgrade itself will not cause "a server reboot". Which server is meant here?
It is recommended to perform SP upgrades when users who rely on flavors are not active, but this doesn't mean a requirement of bouncing the SAP system.

Tamas is correct.
The only restart I can imagine is when you are updating kernel but this is different story.
Just to be clear, if you wand to get the latest and greatest experience on FRUI screens with Personas, then the best way is to start with S/4HANA2023.
And of course, check this guide RFUI team has provided.
